Designed to save aircraft from collision with just seconds to spare, Auto ACAS is meant to operate in a highly dynamic environment in which time and space become quickly compressed. Long before such a system could be flight tested with real aircraft, it had to be developed, evaluated and proved on the ground in some of the most sophisticated high fidelity flight simulators yet designed.  the simulators were provided by ZedaSoft, Inc.

Lockheed-Martin/MST's MIMIC program is being developed to provide ground based instructors with view of the pilot's cockpit in realtime.   The aircraft supplies realtime data that drives the F-16 simulator provided by ZedaSoft, Inc.   ZedaSoft also provided reusable F-16 cockpit components that were used by the MIMIC team to build the various displays used by the trainers.

Lockheed-Martin's ACAT lab is working on a feasibility study to determine if the Auto ACAS algorithms can be used for missile avoidance.   Engineers from ZedaSoft, Inc. integrated a high fidelity missile flyout model and provided the ACAT engineers with an easy to use graphical interface to launch missiles from any relative bearing and range from the intended target.  The user interface also provides the ACAT engineers with end game statistics.
